Extended story: Year-end at a three-store fashion group
A Central-based apparel group asked us to coordinate counts across two street-level stores and one Tsuen Wan stockroom on the same Sunday. Previous year, each store had improvised its own cut-off, and online orders kept pulling units after the paper counts closed.
We held a Thursday readiness review, standardised freeze times, and placed one observer per store with a shared exception channel. The stockroom finished forty minutes late because of a mislabelled carton — logged, recounted, and disclosed in the coordination memo. External auditors later tested from that memo rather than reconstructing WhatsApp threads.
